Rating Decay System
To maintain competitive integrity and encourage active participation, ratings will decay over time for inactive players. The system is designed to be fair while ensuring the leaderboard reflects current skill levels.
Inactivity Period
Rating decay begins after 7 days (168 hours) of inactivity
Decay Rate
0.5% rating loss per hour after the grace period, with a maximum total decay of 50%
Veteran Protection
Players with 100+ matches decay 50% slower than regular players
Rating Floor
Ratings won't decay below 400 points to protect newer players
Additional Notes:
- Decay checks run every 3 minutes to ensure timely rating adjustments
- Higher ratings decay faster (1.5x multiplier for ratings above minimum)
- Playing a match immediately stops decay and resets the grace period
- Decay is gradual to allow players to maintain their rank with regular activity

- Early leaves reduce rating gain
- Full match = maximum rating potential
- AFK time reduces rating gain
Experience System
- First 10 matches: Rapid rating changes (K=64)
- Regular matches: Balanced changes (K=32)
- Veterans: Stable changes (K=16)
- Higher ranks = harder to maintain
Penalties
- Each team kill: -5% rating gain
- Maximum TK penalty: -25%
- Early leave: Up to -50% rating
- AFK detection reduces gains
